I set this still life up a few times until it finally felt good.

I am always drawn to painting floral and still life, it just stirs me

 inside when a vision comes to mind, not always happens though but 

when it does it's time to put the brush to the canvas pronto.

More red geraniums, I can't keep count on how many 

red geraniums I have painted, they seem to

be quite popular.

Maybe it's the lush reds against the greens, or maybe

it's just because they are red geraniums. I have had some commissions

that the client said they brought back wonderful memories.

  I love painting red geraniums!

Set this still life up to paint, I really like using clocks in my paintings,

I have used this one before. For a better balance I added the painting in the background. 

I haven't painted in over a month, been remodeling bedrooms and my studio.  When I pulled everything out of my studio I was shocked on how much stuff I had in there.

I have commissions to get to, it will feel 

wonderful to get back to painting!

These gerberas came to me in a beautiful flower arrangement,  

   I plucked out the gerberas and put them in 

this small glass pitcher. Loved the harmony with reds, oranges and 

yellows.

I moved my violets in different spots in the house, no blooms, I even put them in front of my kitchen window, nothing.  Set them on a windowsill that doesn't get direct sun, I kept checking and then it happened, buds started to appear, a lot of them I was so excited!

 Here they are in full bloom!

  The day is over, my cup is empty, a burning lavender 

candle that is now put out, a time to say goodnight.

Was it a good day, always Lord when

I put you first, no worries, no unrest but complete

peace and joy. A brand new day is awaiting, will I 

depend on me or You, I'll take You Lord!

I painted these violas this last summer and was able to paint

at least five different compositions from a twelve pack of violas.

I had to put them outside to soak in the sun then would bring 

them back in to paint another painting. Eventually they stayed 

outside.

Got a lot out of these beautiful flowers.
