"Resting"

"Resting"
oil
6x6
Sold

Birds always fascinate me, their beauty, personalities, building their nests
and taking care of their babies. I love watching them as they group together
and are synchronized when flying. What is truly amazing to me is all that God has
created just for us.
Thank You

"Perching Jay"

"Perching Jay"
oil 5x7

Looking out from my window as I watch many small birds
flocking to the bird feeder, are constantly keeping an
eye on everything.
The small ones are watching out for the bigger birds, like the crows
and jays and are ready to flee in a heartbeat.
They don't mind eating with the squirrels or doves when
food drops to the ground.

"Blooming", oil 5"x 5" SOLD

"Blooming" oil 5x5"

I am obsessing on geraniums again, why, I don't know. I guess that they just
have that certain style that catches my eye.
 .
I have been so busy lately with commissions, some of the commissions will be used
just for prints and will be sent off to Finland. I will be putting the originals for sale
on DPW. probably in a month or two.
I also got a call today to do a painting for a book cover, that
is really exciting!

Geranium Trio oil 8x10

"Geranium Trio" oil 8x10
Sold

My first choice is to paint from life, as these were but sometimes the flowers
aren't in bloom so I go to my reference photos or from memory. Flowers come and go but
a flower painted is a living moment in time that stay.

Pitcher and Grapes oil 8x10

"Pitcher and Grapes" oil 8x10"

This painting was painted from life. I started out with a light background, it
seemed to wash out the pitcher and glass, so changing it to a darker background
I was able to capture the highlights from the glass and have the pitcher stand out more. I really
loved how the shadow from the glass rolled across the pitcher and a wonderful cast of color.

"Quiet Light" oil 8x8 Sold

Each brushstroke came from within my mind. I started out with the
bed and kept on going. I wanted to make sure the light was in
perspective and checked my living room window to see how the
light hit the wall. It reminds me of a quite place with a touch of light.

"Farm House" oil 8x10

When traveling through Eatonville, WA, I had seen this beautiful scene and had to paint it.
Eatonville, also the most part of Washington has gorgeous scenery. Farming land, many trees
lakes, creeks, Mt Rainier and so on.
I was asked again to demo at the Washington State Fair in the fine arts department Saturday the 13th from 10:00am till 8:00pm.  It's called the miniature paint out. Along with myself and three
other artists, we each paint in a different mediums, I will be painting in oils.  I have a lot
of fun spending time with the artists and meeting many people. The crew that works in the fine art department are extremely organized and a joy to be around.

"Supper Light" oil 8x10 SOLD

A painting I did of a dinning table that is set for an early supper. I painted this from Pioneer Farm Museum. This old cabin was built in the eighteen hundreds along with all their belongings. I can picture the family after a hard days work, tending the farm animals, tilling the land, washing
the clothes and so on, sitting down to this table with gratitude in their hearts.
