Ice Tea and Sprig Mint oil 8x8

I set up this composition after noticing the light hitting the glass and pitcher. The light just made the glass sparkle. One of those moments your eye catches a still life as passing by.

A Spot of Tea oil 5x5

This little green flowered teacup is one of my favorite teacups. I have used it in many paintings, sometimes just for the form and adding my own patterns on it.

Where Should I Build My Nest oil 6x6 SOLD

This bird, that I think is a sparrow was way up in a tree sitting on a branch. After painting it, it reminded me that this is the time that birds are looking for a place to build their nests. I already have a Junco on my deck in the same place as last year. I did some research on finding a mate and nest building, very interesting.

Dragonfly oil 5x7

This dragonfly was always hanging out in my brother and his wife's backyard. They called him or her Big Red. They would see Big Red everyday for years, until one day the Big Red never showed up again. They miss Big Red. I took a picture of  Big Red and decided to paint this beautiful dragonfly with it's beautiful colors. Not sure why their called dragonfly. I will have to research how it got its name.

I painted these trees that were located in my backyard. I loved how the light trickled within the shadows.
