9:00 Tea 8x10 oil

I painted this piece from life. I had painted lavenders in the past with these lavenders, they are now dried. I felt that were a good addition to the painting since the cup had lavenders on it. I have this clock in my studio, which has a ticktock sound to it. Kind of soothing.

Geraniums in Bloom 5x7 oil SOLD

I always seem to go back to painting red geraniums. I think it's the rich red with its  green leaves that makes it so vibrant. I am now working on another red geranium painting, just can't stop painting them.

A Quiet Day in Greece 8x10 oil

My sister travels the world, I don't travel that much.. So when she is out and about  in different countries she brings back some wonderful photos for me to browse through. This one caught my attention because of the light and shadows and I loved the wall that's in shadow. It had so many colors on it. The street was empty and quiet, it appears to be high noon the way the shadows and light were falling on the street and buildings.

Yellow Light 10x8 oil

My mom gave me this sage candle, it smells so good. I haven't lit it yet. This painting was painted from life, which I enjoy doing, I can always control the lighting yet sometimes I create my own to help the flow of the painting.

Vintage Sink 8x10 oil Sold

This old sink is from a cottage in Carmel that we stayed in for a few days. I had done other paintings of this sink, just had to paint it again but in a different perspective. This time I am looking down at it getting the whole sink in. The sun was coming in from the window on the left casting these wonderful shadows.

Country Tea 6x6 oil Sold

This setting was painted from life except for the back wall, I wanted it to have more of a country feel so I added the blue bead board. It's fun to create what ever you want to make the painting the way you see it in your mind even though it's not in front of you.

Patina Teapot 8x10 oil

While visiting my brother and his wife, I saw this teapot up on their hutch. I placed it on the table, the sun was shinning on it from the window and the teapot was vibrant with all its patina. It was a painting within itself. Patina is brought on from aging,     patina says I have been around a long time and I have a story to tell.

Canadian Goose 8x10 oil

While strolling along Bradly Lake in Washington, there were Canadian Geese having a day in the lake.   I saw a mother goose with her little babies, they were so cute. This goose just seemed to be observing its surroundings in deep thought.
